(Music and Lyrics by Rebekah Pulley) I could go on and on with stories about about my family. We are all very uniquely designed individuals. If it weren't for our shared family experiences, we would most likely never get along in the wild. This song was inspired by a close relative who ran away from home as youth.

CREDITS: I played everything except the bass on this song - but if you're interested in the specific sounds you're hearing then: Upright Piano, Hammond B3 Organ, MIDI 'Rhodes' Piano, Programmed Drum Track, Vocals. Bass Guitar by Robert Pastore.

Lyrics

MAYBE SHE'S STRANGE
(music and lyrics by Rebekah Pulley)

When she was younger
Much younger than she remembers
The wind took her leaves
Same as the trees in late September
She got older
And she hid out with the trains
More for her sanity
Than to keep from feeling strange

Maybe she’s strange
Maybe she’s beautiful
She could be president
To a country so dutiful
She hasn’t the faith
She counts her mistakes
Just like those trains
Running wild with shakes

She ran away
More times than we remember
But what’s a home
Without a heart or a burning ember
So down in the underground
She’d get higher than the rain
More for her sanity
Than to keep from feeling strange

Maybe she’s strange
Maybe she’s beautiful
She could be president
To a country so dutiful
She hasn’t the faith
She counts her mistakes
Just like those trains
Running wild with shakes

There’s a little child
So needs to go back home
She's down in the Underground
With the train tracks all alone
Hope you brought your raincoat
'Cause those raindrops they cold

Climbing up the stairs
Looking to the sky
Thunder applauds the lightning
Birds they scatter wide
The Underground beneath her feet
The sidewalk shakes and sighs
Another train has come and gone
Another raindrop dropping from the sky

Maybe she’s strange
Maybe she’s beautiful
She could be president
To a country so dutiful
She hasn’t the faith
She counts her mistakes
Just like those trains
Running wild with shakes
